When new music drops into the inbox from Nymfo for Dispatch, we know it’s not something to take lightly. Following on from his huge “Recollection / Desert Heat” single, this is no exception and the Flying Dutchman has pulled it out again for us.
* “Coming Through” opens the proceedings, as a gem of the deeper elements. Crisp drums confidently flank, but the warm, inviting bassline steals the show. Gliding elegantly across the dancefloor, it lures you in with developing layers of persuasion.
* Things get a bit more technical in “Survivor” as Nymfo teams up in collaboration with Detail, for a razor sharp percussive assault. Dramatically leading in with majestic pads, the techy drum work of the main body is separated by a deep cinematic breakdown.
* Last, but by no means least, “Tower of David” ties things up as a digital exclusive for the single. Twisted bass textures terrorize, whilst remaining composed and almost nonchalant, sewing an element of funk into the track.
